• CRGSLIST: More than just a place for buying and selling new items, Crgslist is also great for finding lumber, bricks, cabinets, flooring, roofing materials, etc. Don't forget to check the free section; you might stumble upon brand-new extras from other people's projects that they couldn’t return. Keep checking regularly and set up alerts for what you're looking for.

• REUSEWOOD.ORG: This online directory was developed by the American Wood Council AWC, Canadian Wood Council CWC in collaboration with Building Materials Reuse Association BMRA. It offers a wide array of wood products including barn wood, board lumber, millwork, engineered flooring, medium density fiberboard, heavy timber, I-joists, pallets, wood windows, doors and more. You can filter your search by location.

• LOCAL SALVAGE STORES: These privately-owned businesses gather useful second-hand building materials, akin to thrift stores for home renovators. A simple online search like salvage stores or reclmed building materials will direct you to options nearby.
